RUMA National PARK - The mighty rhinos dwelling in a national park in Kenya face a brand amoxicillin drug new risk: microscopic micro organism. Antibiotic use and abuse in Kenya has been rampant for decades, elevating levels of drug resistance amongst individuals, livestock and now wildlife. The crew of scientists, which included Maseno University PhD pupil Collins Kipkorir Kebenei, used fecal samples to check resistance ranges in 16 black rhinos. They isolated E. coli genes in each rhino and buy amoxicillin human waste and studied how resistant they were to eight of the mostly used antibiotics: ampicillin, gentamicin, tetracycline, cotrimoxazole, chloramphenicol, amoxicillin drug ceftriaxone, amoxicillin clavulanate/clavulanic acid, and erythromycin. amoxicillin drug
